Why is my Russian friend fighting for custody of her American child in Lebanon?

The child may have rights to be an American citizen but that has nothing to do with the rest of the situation. The child is only American by a technicality, it's just a law they have that says anyone born in the USA is a citizen. The American emby can't help her. She'll have to get a lawyer and take this up in Lebanon because that's where the restraining order was placed. I hate to tell you but she doesn't have much chance because Islamic majority countries don't put much stock in a mother's rights. Her best bet might be consulting with the UN as this is an extremely international matter.
