Why can't I ever catch s and gays in their 70's and 80's going at it?

I always see pictures of gay and couples who are tweens, teens and in their 20's walking side by side or making out, but I never catch two really really old men or women at PDA. Why is that? Do older couples get shy as they age and end up only necking behind closed doors?
