Da Vinci or Pico?

Both are brilliant and very different from one another so it is difficult to compare. Strictly speaking of their art, they both revolutionized composition in painting. They both had incredible innate ability. Pico being more modern, perhaps I can relate a bit more with his work. Were I to choose one, however, I would have to go with Leonardo. Leonardo was an inventor and thinker above being an artist. He was ravenously engaged in studying and understanding the world around him. He was a dreamer, thus many of his ideas were a bit too grand. He was, however, centuries ahead of his time imagining submarines, bicycles, helecopters, cars, machines of flight and war. He kept thousands of pages of notes which are a testament to his commitment to understanding the world. Leonardo tried through his work to enhance humankind's ability to thrive in the world. Pico, as far as I can tell, was more concerned with himself, his egoic self-expression and the furthering of the name Pico. Between the two, I find Leonardo much more interesting.
