Growth on backside of earlobe?

the thing is as big as a pencil eraser and swollen. It hurts to lay on or touch and the skin over it feels tuff and dry. I have had it a little over a month and saw a doc in a walkin clinic the first week he blew it off and said it was glands but its not on my neck its on the backside of my ear. I have tried warm compresses and putting alchohol on it nothing is helping and its getting more painful what should i do?
