Star Wars Fans - opinions on Clone Wars movie?

I am a long time Star Wars nerd. It took me awhile to come to terms with the new trilogy, I appreciate the story but still find it hard to look past the special effects. I really feel like all the computer animated characters like Jar Jar and Sebulba should have been guys in costumes, just like Chewie and the Ewoks were. I have mixed feelings about the Clone Wars movie - I'm not really down with the animation and I'm really wondering how they managed to work in a padawan for Anakin. I don't remember her in any previous history! Even the previews just don't seem as powerful as the live movies. Any thoughts, opinions from fellow fans? Are you stoked about it or do you hate the idea?
