Is this a scam?They want me to pay a $25.00 listening fee at a casting call . : (?

I heard that if you have to pay for anything like this it's a scam. WTF? I'm a guitarist and I'm going to try out for americas got talent. Should I skip this and wait for americas got talent early next year? Because $25.00 is allot of money to me.
