How can i improve on my story?

nobody cares to know that much about any character. if you just say she is gothic and not what she is actually wearing that day, it leaves a little bit of imagination to the readers (and all readers like to imagine the main character a little different). and its a little too much on the vampire/which/goth/teenager/hated by preps thing, i mean its kinda cliche.
